A T H E N A
I am Athena, daughter of Zeus, I curse him for leaving when he did. Some may know me as the goddess of wisdom and the arts, or of war and justice. I stand proud for all of those things. My father gave me all the knowledge of the world, I even have the ability to read minds. I was born from my fathers head, fully clad in armor. I am a warrior and a peacekeeper. Do not compare me to Ares, the sadistic bastard that he is because we believe in war for different reasons. I believe in war because of justice, though I do enjoy a small scrap every once in a while.
I glance warily at the moon, thanking Artemis for making it bright and full. The moonlight hit my silver armor, making it reflect upon the ground in intricate patterns. It is a rarity that I remove my armor, and when I do it is for good reason. I sighed and looked away from the moon.
I wasn't here for any reason, just simply roaming the lands, trying to find my home. Since my father had fled and the world was going to hell it seemed that few wanted to keep the peace. I was torn, part of me wanted to save the lands from total destruction while another part wanted to lead in battle. I snorted and let my auditory flicker, I was listening to the owls speaking. They were my 'companions' I suppose you could say. The mortals, what strange creatures they are, often think of me in the form of an owl. They are not my owls though, no, they belong to Gaia, mother earth.
Gaia owns the very lands I walk upon, she owns the trees and soil, but the water belongs to Posiden. I am one of ten gods and goddesses that choose to permanently reside here. Among each of us are friends and enemies. Some of my hate belongs to Hephaestus. He raped me one day but I was not impregnated, thank Gaia. I shall forever hold a grudge against the hellion, and if he ever crosses me again he will wish he were dead.
